'She said we're keeping him forever': Man Rescues a Tiny Derpy Kitten From Under a Truck, Doesn’t Plan On Adopting, but His Wife Decides That It’s Time to Add a Cat to Their Little Family

For some reason, there are a lot of people out there who say that they don't like cats or don't want cats when they clearly do want them. We've seen it time and time again. Dads who "hated cats" falling in love with the first kitten that their kids bring home. Moms who "couldn't stand" cats cuddling with the cute kitties that are living with them now. People can say it, but… the at distribution system knows better. And if you have been chosen by a cat, as a cat hater, then you are, in fact, not a cat hater. You just don't know it yet. 

And the man in this thread, who went out of his way to rescue a tiny kitten from under a truck, who then somehow told himself that he does not want to keep the kitten… well, he was clearly lying to himself. But his wife spared him from admitting it by saying that they're keeping the kitten forever whether he wants to or not. We like her.

    Okay. Yeah. Uhh… we think we are in love right now. This is the cutest, derpiest kitten that we have seen in like- a week, and for us, as ICHC writers, that is an incredibly long time. The little tongue. Oh, we're so in love.

    Heard this little guy meowing his lungs out. Spent over 30 minutes fishing for him under and around a truck in the rain. Confronted by the owner of the truck, I just put my hands up and stepped away and said "I'm looking for a cat! The meowing kind, not the converter kind."

    Another 20 minutes go by and we finally pull the kitten out. Shook hands with the truck owner, went straight home and started the process of cutting and washing out 30+ sticker burs, brushing out mats, and removing the abundance of fleas. Fast forward to today, he's following me around the room, making biscuits as he walks. He's too cute!!

    And then the screaming. No, we really are obsessed with this kitten, and we demand updates about each and every one of the shenanigans that he causes over time. Because you know he's going to. You can see it on his face.
